Most of us have them, tucked away in a cabinet or drawer, mostly, but not quite, forgotten – those precious, unique old snapshots or slides of people you love, or whom your loved ones once loved. But many of your best images may be frankly unpresentable, since the ravages of time have begun eating away at them. Black and white photos, as well as color ones, have faded, faces have changed to display sickly-looking complexions, and unsightly spots, scratches and stains may have formed. You don’t know what to do with them, you can scarcely even bear to look at them in their present condition, but something steadfastly prevents you from throwing away the only tangible memory of that special moment that remains!

Here’s where I can help! First, you provide me a high resolution scan of your photograph, then I will do my best “magic” with it. Afterward, you’ll have a digital photo that you can look at, have printed locally and show others with pride, or even have reproduced on a wide selection of quality cards, posters, giftware or apparel items that are available through our Zazzle or CafePress stores, if you should so desire!

If you are unable to make a scan of your image, please e-mail me anyway, and perhaps we can work something out where you can send it to me to scan. Specific pricing for this skilled, highly detail-oriented work obviously cannot be “fixed” in advance, so I’ll estimate your cost on a case by case basis, depending on how much retouching each image will need. A quote will explain exactly what types of work will be involved. These may include color correction, red-eye elimination, horizon straightening, spot removal and more. Please note that if your image is blurry from camera motion or poor focus, there’s nothing I can really do to help that. But check out the pictures on this page for examples of what once seemed to be ugly, hopeless photos that I’ve brought back to life!
